2000   Cutting Ceremony of Harris Computer Lab
Two new student computer labs, made posssible by a major donation from Harris Corporation, were dedicated on March 24, 2000.

Joint Master of Science (EE)/Juris Doctor and Master of Science (EE)/Master of Science (Management) degree programs established
Dr. Jose Fortes appointed to department's second Eminent Scholar Chair -- BellSouth Eminent Scholar
   
2003  
Dr. Mark Law becomes Department Chair
Undergraduate enrollment hits 770 and graduate enrollment exceeds 500
Intel funded the department's third Eminent Scholar Chair
   
2007
