2000
	Two new student computer labs, made posssible by a major donation from Harris Corporation, were dedicated on March 24, 2000.
2001
	Joint Master of Science (EE)/Juris Doctor and Master of Science (EE)/Master of Science (Management) degree programs established
	Dr. Jose Fortes appointed to department's second Eminent Scholar Chair -- BellSouth Eminent Scholar
2003
	Dr. Mark Law becomes Department Chair
	Undergraduate enrollment hits 770 and graduate enrollment exceeds 500
	Intel funded the department's third Eminent Scholar Chair
2007
	Dr. Clint Slatton was named a 2007 winner of the Presidential Early Career Award for Sciences and Engineers (PECASE). Click here for more information.

	Dr. Mark Law becomes Associate Dean for the College of Engineering.
	Dr. John Harris becomes Interim Chair
	Department celebrates 100th Anniversary
