EEL 4310C - Digital Integrated Circuits

Catalog Description: (3 cr) Analysis and design of digital circuits using MOS and bipolar devices.

Prerequisites: Electronics I, Solid State Devices, Digital Logic and Computer Systems

Textbook: CMOS Digital Integrated Circuits, Analysis and Design, 3rd Edition. Kang and Leblebici, McGraw-Hill, 2003.

Course Objective: This course focuses on analysis and design of modern digital circuits. Transistors are introduced and described from a digital point of view, and the performance of various circuits is derived and estimated. CMOS digital circuits will be introduced and analyzed. Students will investigate and design digital circuits using L_EDIT and SPICE.

Professional Component: 3 credits of Engineering Design
