Master's
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers both the Master of Engineering (M.E.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees with thesis and non-thesis options. A student seeking the Master's degree with a thesis option is required to pass an oral final exam, perform research, and write a thesis. The non-thesis Master's student is required to pass a written final examination. Both the thesis and non-thesis degree programs require a minimum of 30 credit hours in appropriate coursework. All work counted for the Master's degree must be completed during the seven years immediately preceding the date on which the degree is to be awarded.
To be eligible for the Master of Engineering degree, students must have earned a bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or have complete articulation work for equivalence.
