Readmission to ECE Program

Readmission applies to students who were previously enrolled at the University of Florida,  Normally readmission applies to UF students who have completed their master's degree and wish to continue in the program for a Ph.D.  However, readmission also applies to students who left before completing their degree.

Students who do not enroll at the University of Florida or the ECE Department for 2 consecutive semesters, including any summer term, must apply for readmission.  Readmission, however, is not guaranteed.

To apply for readmission to the Ph.D. program, a student must have:

  • submitted a University of Florida readmission application and paid the application fee
  • a minimum GPA of 3.50 for readmission to the Ph.D. program.
  • GRE scores that satisfy the admission requirements of the ECE program in effect at the time of readmission.
  • 3 letters of recommendation from faculty members in the ECE Department. One of the faculty members must agree to be your faculty advisor.
  • a transcript from all schools you attended AFTER leaving the University of Florida

To apply for readmission to the Master's program, a student must have:

  • submitted a University of Florida readmission application and paid the application fee
  • a minimum GPA of 3.00 for readmission to the Master's program
  • GRE scores that satisfy the admission requirements of the ECE program in effect at the time of readmission.
  • a transcript from all schools you attended AFTER leaving the University of Florida
