To apply for the minor, students are expected to have completed the eight engineering pre-professional courses and meet the admission requirements of the department.

Students are required to complete 15 credit hours of EEL-prefixed courses at the University of Florida with a grade of C or higher. The 15 credits hours consist of:

  • EEL 3111C or EEL 3003
  • 3 hours at the 4000-level
  • 8 hours may be at either the 3000 or 4000 level

Note:  EEL 3003 and EEL 3111C will not both count towards the requirements for the minor.

Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering are not eligible for this minor.
