ECE Scholarships

 

Undergraduate scholarships are offered through the College of Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Scholarship applications are normally available in December and due to the Department by January 31st. It is required that each applicant submit a resume with the application and have an interview.

The College of Engineering Scholarship Application is in pdf format. The application can be typed online and then printed out. The application cannot be submitted electronically.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic performance, geographical location, student activities, and/or area of specialization. Scholarships are limited to U S citizens and Permanent Residents and many are limited to Florida residents. The scholarships also require the student have an upper division grade point average from the University of Florida.

The following scholarships are only open to students majoring in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering:

Wayne H. Chen Scholarship
Eligibility: Outstanding juniors or seniors in electrical and computer engineering who are U S citizens

James E. Dykes Scholarship
Eligibility: Students in electrical and computer engineering

Electrical Engineering Faculty/Staff Scholarship
Eligibility: Senior in electrical and computer engineering with academic achievement and need.

Florida Future Scientist Assistantship
Eligibility: State science fair winners interested in electrical or computer engineering 

Merwin J. Larsen Scholarship
Eligibility: Outstanding juniors or seniors in electrical and computer engineering who are U S citizens, who plan to attend graduate school

Bucket Milikin Scholarship
Eligibility: Undergraduates in electrical and computer engineering

Nelson E. Rosier Memorial Award
Eligibility: Students in electrical and computer engineering

Cyrille and Joseph Weil Scholarship
Eligibility: Students in electrical and computer engineering
