Financial Assistance
The ECE department offers multiple forms of financial assistance to graduate students. Students who have included a resume with their departmental application packet and meet the minimum admission requirements will be considered for a financial assistance package. This, however, does not guarantee such a financial offer can or will be made. Last year, all U.S. citizens that qualified for admission to the Ph.D. program received a guarantee of at least one year of financial aid.
Students who do not obtain financial aid for the semester they were accepted may still obtain financial aid after being enrolled for one or two semesters. Most graduate students that excel in their studies ultimately secure some form of financial aid.
The majority of financial aid for graduate students in ECE comes from assistantships. These assistantships not only provide a modest stipend, but also reduced or waived tuition.
Keep in mind, if you would like to be considered for financial assistance, you must include a resume with your departmental materials.
