•  Dr. Alan George receives UF/OIT Exceptional Volunteer Award 
•  Dr. Jerry Fossum receives the prestigious Electron Devices Society J. J. Ebers Award for 2004.  The award will be presented at the 2004 IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting in San Francisco.
•   Paper by doctoral student Steve Horowitz wins 2004 Aerodynamic Measurement Technology Technical Commitee Paper of the Year award 
•  Jason Jerauld awarded NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium Fellowship for 2004

•  Dr. Deniz Erdogmus, ECE Alumnus May 2002, is chosen to receive IEEE Signal Processing Society 2003 Young Author Award, for his paper co-authored with his faculty advisor Dr. Jose Principe. The award will be presented at the ICASSP 2004 conference in Montreal, Canada, on May 4, 2004.
