• Congratulations to the winners of the Senior Design Poster Contest - Matt Morey, Jerry P. James, Alex DeCarnargo, Gina Wansor, Sean Nelson, Nick Karlovich, and Joshua Childs.
• Dr. Clint Slatton was named a 2006 wnner of the Presidential Early Career Award for Sciences and Engineers (PECASE).  The award ceremony took place on November 1, 2007 in Washington, D.C..  This award is the highest honor bestowed by the United States Government on scientists and engineers beginning their independent careers.
• Dr. Yuguang Michael Fang was elected as an IEEE Fellow for contributions to wireless networks and mobile computing systems.
• Mr. Joe Brewer was elected as an IEEE Fellow for contributions to nonvolatile memory interated circuit technology and digital signal processor architecture.
• Dr. Jian Li with co-authors Yanwei Wang, Xi Li, Yijun Sun and Petre Stoica are the recipients of the 2005 M. Barry Carlton Award for their paper, "Adaptive Imaging for Forward-Looking Ground Peneetrating Radar," in the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Elecronic Systems.  The Barry Carlton Award acknowledges what is judged the best paper in the AES Transactions in each calendar year.  It is one of IEEE's oldest and highest honors.
• Agilent Dreamliner to Visit UF on Thursday, October 25, 2007. 
• Alex Phipps, graduate student under Dr. Toshi Nishida, is the recipient of the 2007  Scentific, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) defense scholarship.
• MIL's SubjuGator wins 10th International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle competition for third consecutive year, July 14-15, 2007.
• Drs. Jose Principe and Vladimir Rakov were named UF Research Professors for 2007-2010, April 12, 2007.
• Dr. Liuqing Yang has been selected as a winner of the 2007 Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program competition
• Ph.D. candidate Jason Jerauld received an Outstanding Student Paper Award at the 2006 American Geophysical Union meeting.
• Dr. Vladimir Rakov received the 2006 Editor's Citation for Excellence in Refereeing "for outstanding service to the authors and reades of Geophysical Research Letters', American Geophysical Union
• Dr. Jenshan Lin will receive the 2007 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society N. Walter Cox Award "For Exemplary Service, Given in a Spirit of Selfless Dedication and Cooperation," at the annual Society Awards Banquet, June 3-8, 2007 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
• Dr. Dapeng Wu receives National Science Foundation Career Award for his proprosal, "CAREER: Delay-Constrained Wireless Networking Where Shannon Meets Erlang," January 2007.
• Changzhi Li, PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr. Jenshan Lin, received the 2007 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium Best Student Paper Award, January 9-11, 2007, Long Beach, California.
