- Dr. Principe to receive the 2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society's Career Service Award at the 27th International Conference of the EMBS on September 2, 2005 in Shanghai, China for his outstanding contribution and achievement in the field of Biomedical Engineering
- Dr. Principe received laurea ad Honoris Causa in Ingegneria Elettronica from Universita degli Studi di Reggio Calabria Mediterranea on June 24, 2005
- Congratulations to Dr. Slatton and his wife on the birth of their son, Ryan Phillip Slatton, born on May 25th.

- Dr. H. K. Lim, CTO of Samsung and ECE PhD graduate, to receive College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award at Spring 2005 commencement. He will be presenting a seminar on Thursday, April 28 in 239 LAR.
- Erin Patrick selected as a winner of a 2005 University Women's Club Scholarship for Graduate Students.
- Lindsi Gassi won an SRC Master's Scholarship funded by Intel. Dr. Thompson and Dr. Law are Lindsi's faculty advisors.
- ECE Undergraduate Erin Taylor is awarded prestigious NSF Graduate Fellowship. Ms. Taylor was accepted to the ACIS graduate program.
- Adam Knight, Edwin Fuguen, Eric Dattoli, and Jessica McDaniel are the winners of the Sias Undergraduate Writing Contest.
- Congratulations to Dr. & Mrs. John Shea on the birth of their son -- Tucker Hennessy Shea. Tucker was born on Thursday, April 21st.
