ECE Computer Lab

 

Located in the New Engineering Building (rooms 248, 250 and 288) the ECE computer lab offers a wide variety of computing support services for undergraduate courses offered in the department. The lab is maintained by Mr. Keith Rambo, Mr. David Blackman, and Mr. Jason Kawaja

The ECE department's teaching lab consists of 55 windows machines and 52 solaris workstations. Backed by the generous support of Harris corporation, the computer lab is serviced by 2 sparc e450 servers and 2 novell netware servers.

Services offered :

• access to computers from 9am till midnight 5 days out of the week
• access to class software like cadence, mathcad, matlab and many others
• support for internet services such as webpages, e-mail, webmail & ftp
• maintenance of user accounts from a user operated card swipe terminal
• around the clock computer and end user support in the lab during normal office hours and from e-mail during outside hours
