Application Procedure

  1. It's been more than 72 hours since I submitted my UF application, and I haven't received an email with a link to my ECE application. What do I do?
The email may have been diverted to your spam folder. Please search your spam folder and inbox for email from gradadmissions@ece.ufl.edu. If you can't find an email from the gradadmissions address, please send an email to office@ece.ufl.edu and we will re-send your login information.

No. Please upload your documents on the online application. See our Application Procedures page for complete application procedures. The only hard copies that will be submitted as part of the application process are your transcripts, degree certificates and test scores, which should be sent to the Office of Admissions, not the ECE Department.

  3. Can I send in copies of awards, merit certificates, or other documentation to supplement my application?

We do not accept applications for new graduate students to start their studies in the spring or summer semesters. Exceptions to this rule are made students currently enrolled at the University of Florida and students with an Electrical and Computer Engineering background applying to the EDGE program only. If you do not meet one of these criteria, apply for the fall semester.

  5. I would like to be considered for both the master's and PhD programs. Do I need to fill out two separate applications?
No. If you'd like to be considered for both degree programs, choose "Doctor of Philosophy" as your degree goal on your UF application. Applicants to the PhD program are automatically considered for both the master's and PhD programs. If you fill out two applications with the Office of Admissions, you'll have to pay the application fee twice!
