My research interests include low-power embedded system design and methodologies. With today's highly competitive markets, reduced time-to-market is crucial for product success. With reduced time available for system optimizations, automated tuning methodologies are critical for assisting designers in fast system tuning for reduced energy and/or power consumption and increased performance. My interests include, but are not limited to, development of non-intrusive and transparent dynamic run-time tuning methodologies for system optimization. My current research focuses on efficient and effective dynamic run-time tuning of a cache hierarchy for reduced energy consumption and increased performance. With trends shifting towards multi-core systems, my future interests include addressing the many new opportunities for dynamic system optimizations in a multi-core environment. Additional research interests include but are not limited to computer engineering, low-power design, reconfigurable computing, platform design, dynamic optimizations, hardware design, real-time systems, computer architecture, and multi-core platforms
