The undergraduate electrical engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. ABET is the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and technology and is among the most respected accreditation organizations in the United States.
The University of Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, education specialist, and doctoral degrees. Portions of the the BSEE curriculum, as well as the MSEE curriculum, are accredited by the Southeastern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS ensures that ECE curriculum, program goals, objectives, etc. are following the accredited guidelines. More information is below.
