Department Chair Dr. Mark Tehranipoor

The University of Florida Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is led by Dr. Mark Tehranipoor. He is the Intel Charles E. Young preeminence endowed chair professor in cybersecurity; the program director for cybersecurity in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering; the director of the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity (FICS) Research; the director of the Edaptive Computing Inc. Transition Center (ECI-TC); co-director of the AFOSR/AFRL Center of Excellence on Enabling Cyber Defense in Analog and Mixed Signal Domain (CYAN); and the co-director of the National Microelectronic Security Training (MEST) Center. As he transitions fully to his new role as department chair in the coming months, Dr. Tehranipoor is expected to hand off the FICS Research directorship, to better enable his full attention on the department.
