Welcome to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department's web site, your portal to the outstanding offerings of our faculty, students, and staff.  Established in 1910, the ECE department has built an international reputation for excellence in teaching, research, and service.

As a major engineering department, we have an enrollment of approximately 750 undergraduate and 500 graduate students pursuing degrees in electrical and computer engineering.

Our graduate program is consistently ranked among the best in the country and we are justifiably proud of our faculty, students, and facilities. With high quality students and outstanding faculty, the department is well poised to achieve its mission of excellence.

Because of our size and emphasis on quality, we can provide unmatched diversity and richness of educational and research experiences. As boundaries across disciplines become fuzzy, many of our faculty members work across these focus areas -- even across departments -- providing opportunities for students to experience interdisciplinary research and education.
