Fall 2022 Electric E Award Recipients

The Electric-E Award is most prestigious award granted by the department. To receive the award, a student must have a minimum upper-division grade point average of 3.90 as well as a 3.90 or higher grade point average in all electrical or computer engineering courses.

Claire M. Adams
  • Completed 4 internship/coop experiences with top Engineering Companies ( Blue Origin and Northup Grumman)
  • Participated in Gator Motorsports. Served as Electrical Lead, Vice President, and Gator Electric Racing President
  • Favorite Memory as a Gator: events at the Catholic Student Center and meeting her best friends for life
  • After Graduation, Claire will be moving to Seattle to begin her full-time position as an Avionics Hardware Design Engineer at Blue Origin.
Caleb Bean
Mitchell K. Lee
  • Completed several internship/coop rotations at  Motorola Solutions
  • Participated in Gator Robotics and Machine Intelligence Lab (MIL)
  • After Graduation, Mitchell plans to enter the workforce in the engineering industry.
David Dwayne Moore
  • Served as an Undergraduate Peer Instructor (UPI)- EEL3923C
  • Favorite Memory as a Gator: Meeting students from diverse backgrounds and regions
  • After Graduation, David plans to continue his studies in graduate school, pursuing a Master of Science degree.
Michael C. Neswold
  • Completed internships at Ingenuity Engineers Inc. and Texas Instruments
  • Served as an Undergraduate Peer Instructor (UPI)- EEL3111C Circuits 1 for two years
  • After Graduation, Michael plans to work as a Product Marketing Engineer at Texas Instruments.
Adia Wood
  • Completed 3 internship/coop experiences with top Engineering Companies ( Micron Technologies, Caspia Technologies, and Goddard Space Flight Center)
  • Served as an Undergraduate Peer Instructor (UPI)- EEE3396
  • A member of Women in Electrical & Computer Engineering (WECE). Served as the webmaster and Mentorship Coordinator
  • Favorite Memory as a Gator: Meeting with friends after exams to eat Dim Sum
  • After Graduation, Adia plans to enter the workforce in the engineering industry.
