Offsite relocation of Department equipment

Offsite relocation of Department equipment

Please use this page as a guide for the required steps to take prior to removing any Department equipment (such as a computer, monitor, keyboard, etc).

While ECE is providing a process for offsite equipment relocation you should work with IT first to resolve remote access issues to determine if you are able to access your resources without removal of equipment.  Each request submitted for approval should include a justification for consideration.

  • Obtain approval from your immediate supervisor by including all items you are requesting for offsite relocation
  • Forward approval to Terry Moore and Jason Kawaja
    • NOTE: If the equipment is planned to be used for accessing ITAR or Export controlled (ResVault) then a separate form (from Marsha Pesch at UF Research Office) must additionally be filled out and signed by Forrest Masters in College of Engineering
  • Once approved and ready for pick up, submit asset information on the following form: Equipment Use at Home Form
  • Coordinate with Department facilities or IT for pickup
