The ECE Department awards several scholarships to students who have exhibited exemplary academic performance, participated in community service (both on- and off-campus), and demonstrate economic need. ECE Department scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of our donors. Some scholarships offered through this program are need-based. In order to be considered for need-based scholarships, you must complete a FAFSA each year. Please refer to http://www.sfa.ufl.edu/applying/how-to-apply for instructions on how to file a FAFSA.
Scholarships are awarded the following academic year (2021-2022) from the date of your application. ECE scholarships are awarded in the fall semester only. ECE scholarship applications open early spring semester and close 3 weeks after the deadline date. Students that are awarded scholarships will be notified by the end of the spring semester. Scholarship recipients must submit a Thank you letter for funds to be disbursed. It is the students’ responsibility to notify the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships of their scholarship.
Students that have GPA below 2.00 or on academic probation are not eligible to receive a scholarship.
Successful applications are awarded based on several factors including, academic performance, participation in departmental activities, and need-based. Please use the link provided to complete your application by the deadline.
All students should submit their ECE Department scholarship application by March 1.
